I AM STAR is a program dedicated to individual clients reserving directly through Starhotels channels. To take advantage of I AM STAR benefits (discounts, points, partner advantages, etc.), reservations must be made directly through the website www.iamstar.it after logging in or calling the toll free number 800 495 477.
IMPORTANT. To activate the account the first booking must be done through https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/ website after logging in. Special rates cannot be booked through other reservation channels (traditional and online agencies, companies).

Registering with I AM STAR, the Starhotels loyalty program dedicated to individual clients, is free and requires just a few short steps at this link: https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/
Enter your details, choose a password (6-17 characters in length and containing at least one number and an uppercase letter (ex. Bologna1 or Florence2) - and click REGISTER at the bottom of the page. In just a few seconds, you will automatically receive an email with a link that is valid for 36 hours, which you will need to click to finalize the enrollment. After 36 hours, the link will expire and you will need to register again.
Emails from Starhotels Rewards contain links and images that could be categorized by the server as “promotions”, “junk mail” or “spam”.

No. With our program, the email address corresponds to the account’s ID. You can, however, open a new account with a new email address. You can request to delete the previous account and request to transfer any points you’ve accumulated with the old account to the new one by sending an email to loyalty@starhotels.it.
Special rates, points for earning reward nights and in-hotel benefits are exclusively reserved for program members. They are personal and non-transferable.
No. The I AM STAR program is dedicated exclusively to individual clients and companies, studios and agencies are not allowed to make reservations for partners, employées or clients.
The accounts must be linked to a name and the enrolled member is the only person that can book stays, logging in with his/her personal credentials.
We remind Guests that the name used when making I AM STAR bookings cannot be changed after confirmation.
Should more than one partner or employee of a Company like to make a booking using the loyalty program rate, each one will need to register with I AM STAR and make their own reservation, logging in with their individual credentials.
No, I AM STAR members will not receive a card. In case of online reservations, the system recognizes the I AM STAR member only if he/she makes reservations on the website https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/ after logging in. When the Guest checks in, the I AM STAR member will be recognized in the hotel thanks to the system’s codes.
No. Name changes on I AM STAR reservations are not allowed.
Should someone that is not the I AM STAR member appear at the time of check-in, procedure requires that the new Guest be asked to pay the difference in price between the I AM STAR rate (reserved only for members) and the applicable, public rate. Furthermore, both the points and benefits will be forfeited.
Should more than one person like to benefit from loyalty rates and accumulate reward points, each one must open his/her own account and make reservations individually by logging in with his/her own credentials.
Yes. The program accepts simultaneous bookings for more than one room (up to 5 per session), under the condition that the account holder is one of the Guests occupying one of the rooms. In this case, the member has the option of applying his/her special rates and benefits to the other Guests, but the points will only apply to the room occupied by the member, not to the others, even if purchased by the member.

- As well as the button, in the middle, there is the box to select the preferred Starhotels property from the drop-down menu, enter the check-in and check-out dates and the number of guests (adults and children) and click on the white button “BOOK”
- When the new page opens, in the drop-down menu in the upper left, you will see the I AM STAR reserved rates, named:
- PREPAID – Non-refundable, breakfast NOT included, prepayment upon reservation
- PREPAID BREAKFAST– Non-refundable, breakfast included, prepayment upon reservation
- FLEXIBLE – Refundable, breakfast NOT included, payment upon check-out
- FLEXIBLE WITH BREAKFAST– Refundable, breakfast included, payment upon check-out
- I AM STAR “SUNDAY FUNDAY” – Refundable, breakfast included, payment upon check-out
- I AM STAR HAPPY BIRTHDAY – Refundable, breakfast included, payment upon check-out

To pull up a confirmed booking, do the following:
- Connect to https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/- you do not need to log in with your I AM STAR credentials
- On the booking mask click on the link “Modify/Cancel” to the right of the white button BOOK
- Select the reserved hotel from the drop-down menu, enter the reservation number and click SEND
- Enter the last name of the person who booked the room and click SEND
- The system will open a new page with the reservation details, where – if a modifiable rate was booked – you can change them.
I AM STAR points accumulate only on dedicated special rates that are booked on the website https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/ using the dedicated I AM STAR area, which can be accessed by logging in:

Your online balance includes a list of your stays in the Starhotels properties and how many points were accumulated for each stay. The chart showing the earned points for each stay can be consulted here https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/reward-nights.html
The online balance of points is updated 3-4 working days after check-out, if the stay was booked with a loyalty rate.
I AM STAR points can be earned only for dedicated I AM STAR special rates.
When a member reserves a stay using other booking channels (such as walk-in or by Company, traditional or online travel agencies) the stay is recorded in your account, but doesn’t generate any points (“zero” will appear on that line).
I AM STAR points are valid for 3 years. Upon the expiring date, unused points will be deducted from the balance.
To request a reward night, proceed as follows:

- In the upper right, next to the I AM STAR logo, click LOG-IN
- Enter your credentials: the ID corresponding to your email and the password chosen when you registered with the program, if it was not changed by the member

- On the menu on the left, under your name, click REWARD NIGHTS
- A new page will open, showing a chart with the thresholds needed for requesting a reward night at our Starhotels properties
- Click on the link REQUEST YOUR AWARD NIGHT
No. Similarly to the accumulation of points, reward nights are personal and can be used only by the account holder.
No. Regarding the rates reserved for I AM STAR members, Starhotels only accepts points from our loyalty program that cannot be converted in other benefits.
You can request a new password by doing the following:
- Connect to our website https://iamstar.starhotels.com/en/
- In the upper right click on the red button LOG-IN. The page to enter the credentials will open. Under “Password” click on “Forgot password”
- Enter your email address and click the button RESET PASSWORD
- You will receive an email from Starhotels Rewards with an invitation to click on the red band “Click here to update your password”
- Choose a new password and click the button RESET PASSWORD
- Note: the password must be 6-17 characters in length and contain at least one number and an uppercase letter (ex. Bologna1 or Florence2)
- A message will appear on the screen that says “Your password was modified correctly”

1) REFUND OF STAY CANCELLATION FEES:
Beneficiaries:
I AM STAR members, both from Italy and abroad, who have booked a stay in a Starhotels both in Italy and abroad
Details:
I AM STAR members may request a refund of Starhotels’ stay cancellation fees for the following documentable, unintentional and unpredictable causes upon cancellation:
- illness, injury or death of the insured or a member of the insured's family, co-owner of the business or of the firm
- appointment of the insured as a juror or his/her testimony given to judicial authorities
- inability to reach the place of departure as a result of: accident occurring to the means of transportation en route or natural disaster
- pandemic affecting the insured, a member of his or her family or traveling companion
- quarantine affecting the insured, a member of his or her family or traveling companion
Refundable amount:
In case of death of the insured or his/her hospitalization in a nursing institution for more than 5 days, the refund will proceed without any overdraft.
For all other cases provided for, an overdraft of 15% of the reimbursement due shall be applied, with a minimum of €50.00.
2) REFUND OF TRAVEL MEDICAL EXPENSES

Art. 15. OBLIGATIONS OF THE INSURED PERSON IN THE EVENT OF AN ASSISTANCE REQUEST
In the event assistance or medical expenses are required during the travel as a result of hospitalization, the insured, or whoever acts on his/her behalf, must immediately contact the Operations Centre available 24 hours a day by calling the following number:

They must also identify themselves as “INSURED STARHOTELS SPA” and provide:
- Full personal details of the insured;
- Policy number 100392895;
- The type of intervention required;
- Temporary telephone number;
- Hospital details (name and telephone number, ward where admitted, name of the doctor who took care of the patient);
- Address of any relatives / companions traveling with the insured.
ART. 16. OBLIGATIONS OF THE INSURED PERSON IN THE EVENT OF A REFUND REQUEST
For each request for reimbursement, the insured person or the person acting on his/her behalf must file a claim with the Company within 30 days of their return, providing the Company with all the documentation necessary for managing the claim, without prejudice to the provisions in article 16, and in particular:
- personal details and tax I.D. of the payment recipient (pursuant to Italian Law No. 248 of 4 August 2006);
- name and address of the Bank, IBAN, SWIFT code in the case of a foreign bank account;
- name of account holder if different from the owner of the file;
- place, date and time of the event and the circumstances and the causes that have determined it.
The insured person or the person acting on his/her behalf will also provide:
- Refund of medical expenses:
- medical records written on-site (medical records, minutes of first aid, medical certificate stating the diagnosis) and related original receipts of incurred medical expenses.
- Trip cancellation
- copy of the documentation objectively proving the cause of the waiver/change;
- in the event of illness or accident, first aid and medical certificate reporting the date of the accident or the onset of the disease, the specific diagnosis and prognosis;
- documentation proving the link between the Insured and any other person who has issued the waiver;
- if hospitalized, complete copy of the medical record;
- copy of the catalog and/or tour program with its rules regarding the penalty;
- copy of the travel contract with payment records;
- copy of the booking statement of the reservation and penalty issued by the organizer of the trip;
- original travel documents, for the 100% penalty.

The insured person must send the following documentation:
- place, day and time of the event as well as the circumstances and causes that determined it;
- documentation certifying the medical detention ordered by the Authority;
- travel contract;
- any re-routing travel document showing the higher cost paid or a new travel document issued;
- refund document for airport taxes, or alternatively declaration of non-flown, issued by the air carrier;
- bills for expenses related to forced residence (hotel expenses, meals);
- documentation certifying any refunds recognized by service providers;
All documents relating to expenses (invoices, travel documents, etc.) must be in the name of the Insured
